THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

Music matters

Listening to Adele and feeling extremely woozy right now. Quite a few songs make me smile and take me to a different level. A senior with whom I shared my entire music collection told me that it took him all of an hour to figure out what kind of a person I was. Music apparently is a reflection of one's personality. In school I enjoyed a fair share of Britney and Westlife. During our college years I updated my status to that of a rebel with all the alternative music I was listening to while my friends crooned and swayed to pop songs. Till date I like party numbers when I am at the discotheque but won't listen to them otherwise. Currently I have been listening to a lot of Indie pop and ballads so my senior guessed I was a sad person as my music almost brought him down to tears. The other day I was asking my boyfriend and cousins about their top five singers/bands of all time and when the same was reverted to me, I didn't have an answer. There is such good music surrounding us in our everyday lives that picking five artists seems like an impossible task, therefore I am dividing them into separate categories. I am sure there is a hell lot more waiting to be discovered but for now this is my list.

Will update this post as and when I remember some favourites. Being a musician, doing what you love and forever making others smile through it sounds like an ideal profession. At the end of the day music is ageless and gives us an opportunity to express feelings in the best possible way so cheers to good music, cheers to life!
