There are a lot of plans I make in my everyday life. Some work out accordingly while a few not so much. Today I would like to share two plans I have in store for the future. No laughing please.
- When I get pregnant I want to indulge in serious baking. Since I will have oodles of free time then, I have decided I will use it to master the art of baking.
- I intend to keep my long mane right uptil the time I have my first baby, and when that moment finally arrives I want to chop my hair and opt for a shorter hairdo. You may want to call it a desperate bid to look young all over again but yes that's the plan.
As I told you in the second line itself, quite a few of my plans turn out quite the opposite. A good example -- since the past two days I have already started on my first plan. My maiden attempt at making a vanilla sponge cake wasn't all that bad. Everything in place, the microwave gave up on me at the last minute so my cake looked super bland which pissed me off to no bits. This morning my aunt had taken the liberty of heating last night's debacle in a pan (Indian ishtyle) therefore resulting in a burnt centre and soft upper surface. Surprisingly, three-quarters of it was gone by noon.
At around 1 pm I started with my second cake and this time around I wanted to experiment with cocoa powder. Just to be on the safe side, I downloaded the microwave manual online and started off with a bang. Thankfully my second attempt ended on a similar note. Now that I have succeeded, there is a burning desire to pursue this full time while I'm home. Unfortunately, there are other responsibilities that need to be taken care of in this short span therefore I am going to postpone my baking adventure for a later date. For now, let me bask in the glory of having made this beautiful piece of art all by myself.
