THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

Deadlines in place

There is a particular category of people I despise in this world. These folks like to pity themselves, believe that they have been the victims and sit there, languishing on the floor, waiting to be picked instead of going about correcting the wrong or trying to set their life back on track. I cannot sit and wait for life to happen. I constantly have this clock ticking in my head if I feel I am being the least productive in my everyday life. Last month, my social calendar was full but on the academic front not a lot happened except two lines of copy pasting and a few readings. Fun is good so long as it is balanced out with productivity but in this case the scale was heavy on one end only. Therefore I'm now running on a self-imposed deadline. I want to complete the chapters much before time, to sit down and have a detailed discussion with my supervisor, as well as the mental satisfaction of having done a good job. The motto happens to be: 'Work hard now (to) Party harder later'.
