THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

Three steps

My poem writing skills have gone down the drain. It seems creativity is on a vacation for now. Kindly bear the one below-

One, two, one, two
On a splash of red I go,
A tiny bumper on my path
Up I go and down below,
All in want of a grand, grand feat
I say, “Only three steps to the hot hot seat “.

Monday and Tuesday add to the fatigue
Thursday and Friday make me weak,
Put me on a leash, let me choke
Numerical suicide ain’t no joke.
All in want of a grand, grand feat
I say, “Only three steps to the hot hot seat “.

Excuses unaccepted, apologies ignored
A bottle of water or a can of coke
Running at times, walking the most
Dosa for breakfast or sometimes a toast
All in want of a grand, grand feat
I say, “Only three steps to the hot hot seat “.

Disbelief or disregard
Either ways take it to your heart,
This is my story and I am going to write the part,
Print, delete or just go back to the start.
All in want of a grand, grand feat
I say, “Only three steps to the hot hot seat “.

Hop, skip and a giant leap
“Only three steps between me and the hot hot seat”.
