A page from my now burnt diary.

Sun rising on the North Sea front. My journey today marks the end of an important chapter of my life -- Aberdeen. Goodbye Deen. I survived well and made some lasting bonds here. I learnt a lot and experienced multiple emotions. I take back some colourful (and grey) memories with me. The times here shall live in me forever. No one will ever know or understand how it feels like to have lived abroad. It is like taking a leap from a small pond to a river and then into an ocean.
As I embark on a whole new chapter, I feel less burdened and hopeful. Still a little shattered but nevertheless hopeful that things will get better soon. I may have come here alone but I leave behind some loved ones. I thank each and every one individually- the ones who meant well and the ones who made life hell. This experience has made me stronger and I leave this heaven with absolutely no regrets.
