My visit is almost over. The meeting with my guide went really well. We had a three hour long
discussion and I have quite a few corrections to make but that shouldn't
be much of a problem. I must have spent the better part of my short stay either in the malls or fighting the summer sun. I cannot believe that I had the courage to venture deep into Sarojini market, that too around noon. The first hour was alright. It was the three hours I spent in the curtain shop which was a test of patience. This had to be done. I had to get the curtains for the three rooms back home as planned. When the cumbersome task of going through all the samples, thinking and re-thinking the wall colours, selecting the curtains and measuring the same was over, I was ready to fall flat on the floor and vapourize into thin air. There have been few moments in life where I've pushed myself to the limits. Well, this was one of those. A decade back I was this super enthusiastic girl, curious to know the ways of the city. What I see now is just one of those days.
And now that both discussion and shopping are out of the way, it is time to take that known journey back to the hills again. I can't wait for the drop in temperature already.
