In bed after a rather hectic day and it feels like heaven on earth here and now. When it comes to music, I have always had a tendency to look beyond the obvious and tonight is no different. My earphones are fittingly plugged into my ears and I am listening to Adele's 'Don't you remember'. It is an amazing song and my favourite Adele number.
Since being back from the capital I have been busy almost everyday. My Saturday night was a happy one despite all the travelling I had endured the same day. Sunday was my haircut day followed by dinner at an Uncle's place. We reached home around midnight which was super late by normal parent-children standards in our house. Then came Saga Dawa. We walked over three-four miles before I fell asleep in my brother's bed, twice in a span of three hours. Apart from these social and religious callings, I have been making progress with the HDR. It gives me immense pleasure to state that I have completed one of the sub-topics. That is one down, two more to go! Today I collected some much needed data from the police station. There was this rather weird meeting with the psychiatrist in the afternoon which didn't prove to be helpful, thanks to all the red tapism. I have decided to go for field visits next week so there is some travelling in store.
This paper is proving to be quite challenging and intellectually stimulating. I have a positive feeling and hope to do a good job. I really do. These are like the base years and unless my foundation is strong I won't be able to stand tall. So I am going to push myself to the limits. I still need to start working on the fifth chapter for my dissertation. Wow! All these deadlines make me want to press rewind. Time is flying by at concorde speed. Just last week I was screaming at my heated-to-forty-degrees mattress and counting the days when I'd be back in my cosy room back home. Tonight I am looking back in pure amazement. Did I really travel all the way and back? Did I? Or was it a dream? Suddenly it really seems like everything is just rushing by.
