THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

With arms wide open

Last night we had unexpected thunder and showers in the capital. I wasn't able to sleep till as late as 3 am which got me youtubing different hair styles. I hate to confess this but I think this solitary confinement is getting to me. I mean here I am in this world of information technology, I have my netbook, wifi, google, youtube, almost everything to keep the mind occupied, yet I am craving for some company. There is only so much surfing one can do. My room-mate has been out for more than three weeks now making it all the more difficult. And now I'm curious how people manage to undertake those silent courses you have in ashrams wherein you don't speak a word for a specific duration. I think I'd just go crazy if I put myself through it.

This afternoon we have a baby alert!

I had placed a bet with my boyfriend about the timing of the birth and even though the odds were heavily against him, he seems to be the winning horse! My sister is admitted in the maternity ward a little more than two weeks prior to the expected date of delivery. This means we have a Piscean on the way. I am very excited about spoiling the newest member of our family and how I wish I could have been there just in time to say hello. Unfortunately, I have to wait out the two week period because my plane for home doesn't leave sooner than that. So this post is dedicated to my unborn nephew/niece. Welcome to existence and I love you already :D
