Since it is a given that my Saturday is going to be a repeat of the past week, I would like to proudly state that I have been hibernating for the last 168 hours, which roughly translates into seven days a.k.a. a full week! You would think I must crave for an outing but, on the contrary, I wish we had an option for room service instead of having to proceed to the mess for meals. I am super content within these four walls for the time being.
My roomie hasn't been around much in the past couple of days. She is busy fighting her battle, tackling a tricky situation while trying to keep her sanity intact. How convenient it is for people to come up with the lamest of excuses when they are scared to reason it out. I must say she has handled herself very well. While she came back for a quick shower and change of clothes, I sat in the corner listening to Switchfoot after such a long time. I love how their music makes so much sense. A certain song goes:
"Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead. Yesterday is a promise that you've broken. Don't close your eyes. This is your life and today is all you've got now, and today is all you'll ever have."
Wow that's a positive thought to start any day with. What if all of us had the lifespan of a mayfly?? Then we'd have to fast forward through most of our experiences and focus on the important ones. I don't know what I'd choose. There are just too many memories to pick from.
After fifteen minutes of reminiscing I'm still blank...
For a minute there, Jon Foreman had me thinking!
