THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

Worthy of a page

The best part about writing a thesis, or any original paper for that matter, is not gaping at the end product in your hands with your eyes wide open and a controlled smile, thinking "I finally did it". The chase is always better than the catch. Therefore, the best part about my present journey is the thesis writing itself. Days have gone by wherein I haven't written a single word, at times I may have added a line or two. The past two weeks have been similar. I read up on a series of studies related to my research. At the end of the day, after all that productivity, my academic input barely summed up to a page. A page. The meeting with my guide went superbly well and I need to start with the actual research now. Wow, this seems like an exciting phase for me. I am so happy to be doing something I love.

Also, I figured out what an intelligent, foresighted female I may have been after all. I went through a series of papers today (for personal reasons I would like to keep them a secret) and I realized why I am better off than the rest. A step ahead of everyone else so to say. Might not sound all too modest as the old me would have put it, but I am actually very proud at the moment. Basking in self-appreciation! What has my world come to these days?!!
