Okay. Right uptil now I have been giving a daily account of the impromptu trip. Today, I feel a bit different; rather creative. The lake was spell bounding. No amount of clicking could ever do justice to nature's marvel at display.
I was lost for words, my thoughts went null; but what stole my heart was the short stopover at our driver's house for a quick tea and snacks. I can't help it but I am a people's person. We got to enter a typical Ladakhi abode and interact with a local family. The visitor's room was a basic one- with carpets laid all over the floor and a glass table for a center piece. Tea was warm, welcoming and much appreciated like the host themselves. I also happened to make a quick trip to the loo which proved to be an altogether new experience. The toilet was located external to the main structure, on the backside. One needs to climb a wooden staircase, and aim for the tiny hole down below. I wonder what happens to the pile of stink when the dump is full? Haha.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day's experience. The pictures need to be washed and mailed back to them.
