Love and warmth were oozing out of every enzyme in my body as I carried my nephew in my arms tonight. Because he was fastened to me with this fancy shoulder strap, he was facing me. As we got into the car and I had him seated on my lap, he kept turning his head to the side to check out the bright lights as we passed a line of shops. Once we entered a darker side of town, he sat there staring at me for a good two minutes. I loved every second in those two minutes. I cannot believe he is six months old already! Lex is fast turning out to be one of the happiest babies I have known. Now we need to wait and see if he carries this trait once he starts walking.
