We are One

You know how there are days you can feel the seconds passing, where you sit and pray for the torture to come to an end. Sometimes the opposite happens. Before you know it, the day has gone by and you still have so much left to do. Most people would agree that this usually happens when we are having fun. Maybe it is true in my case because yesterday I realized what a year felt like. I celebrated my first Anniversary with Dengyal and honestly I had a difficult time believing it.

A year in my world :D

Last year he was home, living this seemingly comfortable life, being the dutiful son and a responsible member of the Tateng clan. This year he is here in the capital with me, sharing a dream which by all means looks promising. For a brief second today I wondered if I had anything to do with this change? To which I whispered back in a yes and no.

Yes, because I guided him when he had questions troubling his head.
No, because he is a man who cannot be bullied into doing things.

We had a lovely lunch in a garden restaurant, after which we went to the mall. I made Dengyal believe that we were watching his Shahrukh Khan blockbuster tonight but in actuality we were to have a date with Pi in 3D. Like the year, the day passed by in a jiffy. We did the usual -- talk, laugh, have a good time. It wasn't something out of the ordinary yet the day felt special. I have my rose (a first!) to prove that one tonight.

Happy Anniversary Sweetheart. This is only the beginning :))
