I stand alone

As human beings, we all crave for companionship. I think it is human nature to want someone, just about anyone to talk to or simply be physically present even if the atmosphere remains verbally challenged. There will be times we want to be alone for a brief second, a moment, a day or a long gap but, sooner or later, we want to get back to our normal routines. Why are we so scared of being alone? I wonder.

Being alone does not, by any means, signify weakness. On the contrary, I would take it as a sign of one’s strength. We are all lonely beings at the end of the day. No matter how many times we try to share our feelings, emotions or lives with the people around us, there will always be that one aspect that will remain untouched. You will always wonder if someone will ever be able to see life through your eyes. But the fact of the matter is you are actually restored when alone. This isn’t just a Monroe presence in my post, but the lines have some truth in them. Alone, in plain simple words, means the capacity in you to stand your ground without a helping hand. It signifies power, independence, faith and joy; a signal that the journey must go on and it will.

I bask in this solace ever so often; it is actually turning out to be a way of life for me.
