THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

June 1, 2011

One, two, three..

One shadow in the alley
One basking in the limelight.
Two hearts on the pedestal
Two other hands clasped tight.
Three breezers and soggy eyes
Three letters and a long flight.
Four weeks in the rainy fields
Four days and out of sight.
Five fingers and gestures at will
Five seconds to make it right.
Six strings to become a star
Six words to be called a fright.
Seven healers in a closed room
Seven temptations and a lover's might.
Eight meetings in the head entrapped
Eight steps between the dark and the light.
