I have been up to a lot of things lately. Two nights back, it was a dinner outing with an on campus friend after a long gap and our conversation revolved around how he had lost his inspiration to do stuff. No reading, no writing, no productive thinking but some RnB music which is totally weird for a person who, I doubt, has ever been to a discotheque. Someone who shares a lifelong obsession for the band Oasis, along with one of my cousins.
And then here I sit tonight, with a bloated belly after gorging on hideous Italian calories. I seem to have lost my mojo as well. Two weeks back I was on a roll so far as academics was concerned. I have been sitting on two assignments, getting so much as a page reading completed since then. I must confess though that I am proud of the previous post. It was half a day of mental labour. A Saturday dedicated to some productive thinking. Now as I sit here to type recent happenings, I seem to have lost the will to recall, so to make it easy for myself and for you here's a short list:
- I have been practicing my Bollywood number for Mishra's wedding. I did try to talk my way out of it but she won't have it any other way.
- I am learning to ride a bike, a bullet at that. Do pray for no broken bones or fractures this side.
- I feel very proud of myself after an early morning jog. I haven't been feeling proud for four consecutive days now.
- I am finally growing my bangs in a run up to preparing for the summer.
- I now have a music video to my credit. So what if it is plagiarized? My hard work was limited to trying hard not to show a smirk in front of the camera. The real work took place in the netbook. My room-mate, I believe, is on her way to Hollywood.
- A pat on my back for dealing with the situation the way I have been.
We are always told by our parents to be nice human beings in our lifetimes. Well, it turns out being nice is not always normal. "Honesty is not always the best policy", said Sunbae. I agree. So long as we know we are truthful, I think sometimes it is best to look away.
