THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

November 19, 2010

Stressful times

My clarity of thought is slowly coming back.

Recently, I gave a presentation on a book titled "Many Globalizations: Cultural diversity in the contemporary world". I thoroughly enjoyed speaking for a change and the after comments were very encouraging as well. With the book review and term paper submitted, I now have my mind focusing on the Education paper. It was a mistake to have chosen Gramsci. Going through pages and pages of confusion is not what I need right now. Organic versus Traditional intellectuals? God save me.

So instead, I have a four hour karaoke session with my room-mate. We croon songs from the 70s to the 90s and it doesn't matter if the girls next door can't catch up on their beauty sleeps. We are an insensible, disregarding, loud duo and what's more? We seemed to take pride in it last night.

  1. The caviar hasn't yet arrived, I am afraid. The truffle, too, looks sub-standard, my dear. I hope the party doesn't disappoint Lady Upright and Sir Righteous too much. Lord Jackmeoff will probably have imbibed a bit too much of you-know-what to notice the lack of anything.

    Youknowwho
