THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

Chasing dreams

My younger brother left for Delhi today. As much as we have frequent disagreements amongst ourselves, at the end of the day, he is my brother so I felt a little sad as I watched him get in the car and drive away. These are the few moments I get a sense of him as the son of the house. As cliche as this may sound and as much as I try to root for equal status of sons and daughters, somehow the notion that he holds more importance creeps in inside me.

Usually I would have advised him against travelling in the summer heat but this time it is for a good reason. I hope he can  achieve his goal in the following two months. He has to make something of himself before time runs out.

Good luck Kalay.
