THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

October 5, 2010

Never

When fear runs deeper than hope
When halfway to a distance seems long
Longer than the miles already walked hand in hand
When the closed door of the past shuts you out from the open ones
When you want to scream at the top of your lungs
“It’s better not to take this chance again”,
A welcome with a slight hesitation
A feeling which has no guarantee
Planning and contemplating what is to be
And all this time not once hopeful
An education in itself
Starting with a never
And ending with the same.
A battle looming in the background
Walking with the uncertainties in tow,
If every feeling is pain and every smile hollow
Why do we strive for the dreams of tomorrow?
