"Choose your love
Love your choice"
Love your choice"
This was my quote of the day for yesterday.
I said this to a friend over dinner and he said, "Why does your life always revolve around this one emotion?" but my idea is not limited to thinking of love as an emotion shared by two lovers.
This is precisely where we all go wrong at some point. There will always be different manifestations of love. Anger, hatred, jealousy are all different dimensions of the same emotion. Why should love only be attached to a smiling face, a rainbow, a couple holding hands, a mother breastfeeding her baby, a toddler having an ice-cream while her father looks on? It can go on to apply to everything in life. I got an sms this morning which rightfully states "There is no true love without jealousy". This is yet another aspect to ponder over.
If you don't love what you do, there is no magic created, no happiness derived. A musician can make songs all his life but unless he loves his music, no one will really relate to his songs. Without emotions a song remains a song, nothing else. Similarly, if we don't love our job then we'll forever remain unhappy. We need to love what we do, only then can our effort bear results. We need to infuse those positive thoughts into our mind and channel that energy in the right way.
Is it possible
.. to love the people around you- close ones and strangers?
.. to love what we are doing this very moment?
.. to walk home for a change and love the quietness?
.. to work a long hard day and love the outcome in the end?
.. to eat what's on offer and love the taste?
.. to ignore your laptop for a change and love the idea of a handwritten letter?
Live. Love. Laugh. Enjoy.
Thats how our lives should be.
They say the world is full of thorns. The idea is not to remove all of them. It's impossible to do so. But we can remove as many as possible before we wear our boots and move on.
