I am sorry for the long break in my writings. The last few days have been extremely hectic with me trying to figure out the workings of a college, helping out at home and being a nanny to my eleven month old nephew. Out of the three stated reasons, I am thoroughly enjoying my role of an aunt. Lex is such a hyper active baby. But he is a blessing for us all. My favourite activity is the trying-to-make-him-sleep part. In a desperate attempt to make him sleep, I often end up singing the most random songs to him. Quite often I sing Simon Lynge's 'Future' because it is such a soothing song, but in the last two days I have been humming tunes from 'Darpan chaya' to 'Ishq sufiyana'. My nephew seems to have a penchant for peppy songs! Carrying him while performing this task is pretty difficult nowadays. He is getting heavier by the day and often I feel a mild pain in my arms once evening sets. He turns a year old this month and I cannot believe he is growing up so fast.
Sometimes for your own selfish reasons you wish for things that cannot ever come true. Well I have one such wish right now. I wish I could hold Lex in my arms forever. Ofcourse he is going to grow up, and the rate at which that is happening, the day isn't far when he will be screaming and running around at the same time. Choki grew up too fast too soon right in front of my own eyes. Today she is happy playing the big sister to her Bhaila.

I hope they turn out to be good people in the future, just like their grandparents. These two make our world complete for now.
