After a few weeks of hectic travelling and work, I finally have the time to sit back and reflect on the by-gones. Two days ago we celebrated Agya and Aie's wedding. Its nice to see some stories having a happily ever after, doesn't matter if its not you at the receiving end. Thinking about the changing equation that relationships take as each day passes, it makes half a smile come across my face.
My younger brother is off to Bhutan today. He is giving company to my British friend. Lets hope they have a good time together. Samdrup or Bhattu as I fondly call him is taking care of my brother for me. Who is he? I have met him just once as an old friend of my ex-boyfriend, but over time we have developed a bond closer and warmer than any I may have shared with my peers from across the border. And then you have a recent relationship gone sour wherein the people now choose to act like they have never met you. I wonder what is the point of getting to know people if one fine day you are going to choose ignorance over acknowledgment? I would prefer some consistency please.
Humans were never meant to be treated as waves that bang against the rocky edges of a coastal shoreline. And I am no different.
