THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

January 17, 2008

A New Year to look forward to

It is past mid January and I am yet to make a new journal entry. The first thing that comes to everybody’s mind about the coming year is the resolutions. So what are mine this year? Well for starters, I am going to be more ladylike (my friends say I really need to get this going, especially when it comes to talking), followed by cutting down on my nail biting habit (my hands really suck) and, ofcourse, restoring my past glory of having been a good cook (apart from an occasional burst of energy to experiment, I am on a virtual maggi making session most days).

I thought 2008 being the year of the rat was supposed to be a good thing, but my friend said otherwise; a bad year for all rat signs it seems. I know Losoong is not exactly the New Year (‘Lo’ being year and ‘soong’ meaning the end of the year) but since December my luck has started changing. A lot of things have fallen into place and continue to do so even as I write this journal. Maybe, just maybe, 2008 is going to be a year of big changes for me.

With this I wrap up my writing for the day. Wishing all of you a fruitful year ahead.

  1. Nancy,
I came to learn the existence of your journal very recently. Great great work...and I am jealous cos I started writing before you and look at you, you are much ahead of me.
Dreaming to write a book? let me know...I would love to help.
And as for the new year journal, i can gift you, returning one of your articles I have with me...I checked it, you did not post it...keep guessing what is missing...and thank me, that they are safe with me...hehhe
