THE IMPONDERABILIA OF EVERYDAY EXISTENCE

Solved

I finally managed to solve the two question papers after the answer keys were uploaded online yesterday. It turns out that I may have a chance after all. Unlike last year, where I calculated a score of 184, I am scoring 194 this time. I do not know if I can call it my good or bad luck, but I was also able to check the final score from last year in the UPSC website. I missed the mark by four points; a score of 177 as against the 184 that I had calculated!! There are some things that you are better off not knowing. Please include this in the list. On the other hand, this also means that, if the cut off is the same at 181, I have a really good chance of making it through to the second round this time.

June is already a super hectic month with the additional duty of handling admissions, writing a short assessment report for a project, college mid-semester examinations and preparations for the NET examination on the 30th. All these tasks need careful planning and vision. I know that the latter is going to help me with the UPSC examination as well so it gives me some respite, but I still need to work out a couple of things. For now, I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that the odds which seem to be in my favour, do remain in my favour when the results are out in July. Touchwood.
